Blogging Platform with a Touch of Social Media?

I have been blogging since 2005. It first started as a hobby then turn into a business. As a newbie in the blogosphere, I first used blogging platforms that offered free hosting. I used Blogger and Bravenet. I think they were the best way to go if you are new to the blogging world.

It took me about a year or two before I purchased my own domain names. Then, in 2007, I officially started my business working from my home. Taking surveys was my first work-from-home job and then, for some reason, my attention got diverted to blogging. My blogs have now become my main source of income but I still look for other work from home opportunities. My hubby prefers that I work at home because he worries about me driving, especially during the winter season.

Blogging is fun and it is also a way I can voice my opinions and experiences with products and services while earning a little extra money in return. Overall, I consider myself somewhat successful with the career that I chose. I like blogging now better than when I first started. I was able to pay my siblings college tuition fees and helped them get through college. I feel like I have accomplished an important goal and returned a favor at the same time since someone outside of my immediate family also helped me through school.

With a Touch of Social Media

I don’t yet consider myself an expert when it comes to blogging but, through the years, I have learned a lot of things. Creating high-quality articles is sometimes a struggle for me, especially since English is not my native language. Getting people to read them is another challenge. I am on a few social media sites and they are helpful in driving traffic and attracting interests. The more interest you have from your readers, the more attractive your blog becomes for advertisers. I know some people even buy Instagram likes to help increase their following and raise their profile.

There’s a new platform called TopBuzz, that I’ve recently signed up with. I think they would be helpful for someone like me to grow audience and possibly also make money from creating content. They have yet to formally launch the platform but I was fortunate to be given an opportunity to try it in beta.
