Bummed Out!

This last week has been a nightmare for me with all of my blogs. I had never had error problems on my web hosting before these past two weeks. I was bummed out because my blogs are my only source of income. I bought a hosting package from a friend who is a reseller. I have been using her web hosting for the last three to four years and she did a wonderful job of fixing any problem that I ever had. She had used Hostgator for most of her business and they had been good until recently. When my hosting goes down, my business is dead in the water. During the last two weeks when my web hosting went down, I lost clients and money.

I received emails from my previous advertisers asking what had happened to their articles and if my blogs were still functioning. Two weeks ago was when the trouble started and last week was dejavu all over again. That was the last straw. I decided to move all of my blogs to another web hosting company.   My current web hosting doesn’t load as fast as Hostgator but it is much more reliable.

Since last Friday, I have been busy transferring my blogs manually.  I have twenty blogs and it took me all weekend and then some to get almost all of them transferred.  I only have one to go before I am finally done.  This last one gets kind of complicated because it overlaps with another of my blogs.  Fortunately, my friend, the reseller, had a second company that she is working for and I have been able to make the transfer to her second company. She is now helping me fix the last one but I still have’t quite got it figured out yet. I don’t want to bug her because I know how busy she is helping other clients with their problems with Hostgator. I am optimistic that my last blog will be up and running soon.
