This native chicken adobo was one of the dishes that I was able to eat when I visited my family in the Philippines last year. The native chicken meat is more tasty than that you usually find at your local meat shop here in the US. My folks raise chicken of different breeds so we have the best of both worlds. My mother cooked this for us for breakfast one day :-). She added soy sauce, onions, garlic and red chili pepper to the chicken. Adobo is a common recipe in the Philippines. Most people there know how to cook it.
