My hubby and I celebrated our eleventh anniversary at the Red Lobster restaurant in Fargo last week. That is the closest one from home which is a four-hour drive round trip. It was quite a drive and fortunately, there was also some business that we had to take care of that day. The weather was so nice that I did not mind spending an extended amount of time staying out.
Red Lobster was a perfect choice since we both love seafood. On top of that, their Lobsterfest promo has been extended so we took advantage of that and they sent my hubby a $4 off coupon.
My hubby had the Ultimate Feast. This menu special has a tender Maine lobster tail, steamed wild-caught North American snow crab legs, garlic shrimp scampi and Walt’s Favorite Shrimp. It was served with rice pilaf and my hubby’s choice of soup, lobster bisque. He then washed it all down with mucho Lobrita Classic Rock.
I had the Steakhouse Surf & Turf. It had split Maine lobster tail medallions with lobster-and-seafood stuffing, paired with a grilled sirloin steak topped with Chilean langostino lobster in a three-cheese sauce with roasted mushrooms. It was served with mashed potatoes, roasted green beans and sundried tomatoes. I had an iced tea to wash it all down.
Before our waiter, Sam, took our orders, he asked us what the occasion was. My hubby told him that it was our eleventh anniversary. He gave us a Brownie Overboard dessert served with a scoop of vanilla ice cream and topped with caramel and chocolate sauce.
The food and the service were excellent to out of this world great. I could not ask for anything more on our anniversary date. Everything that we did on that day went really well, which doesn’t always happen for us. That includes the Minnesota Wild win over the Dallas Stars 😉 .
