This post is made in partnership with The Network Niche Influencer Agency and the ControlTM Prepaid Mastercard®. All opinions are my own.
I have a few big expenses coming up in the near future. Mostly those expenses are my college tuition fees for the next three semesters. I do not like the idea of taking student loans, so I try to save as much as I can and control my finances. I live in northern Minnesota, so in the winter months there is another big expense for me – the refilling of my propane gas tank. Even though my primary heating system is a wood-burning stove, I still need propane for my water heater and a backup heating system.
All of the expenditures that I have mentioned above are going to cost me around $10,000. I can afford that at the moment but my budget will get very tight next year when I have to pay off two credit cards, so I have to start watching my finances very closely right now. Which means avoiding spending on frivolous stuff.
Saving money is not a hard thing for me to do. “Do not spend more than you make” is a golden rule that I learned from my husband and will never forget. I also learned that cards are safer than carrying cash. When I was still in the Philippines, I and a majority of the people there prefer to pay for their purchases in cash. That is no longer the case for me after moving here to the US with my husband. I normally just carry credit cards but it is nice to have at least one debit card in my wallet. The only debit card I have right now is The Control Prepaid Mastercard®, mainly for some quick needed cash. I like the idea of being able to access my money easily.
Control Card is committed to helping you take control of your finances and experience new financial possibilities, all at the same time.
For me, using Control Card is better than carrying cash or banking with a traditional banks because it offers Cash Back Rewards1, and I can get my money up to two days faster2 with direct deposit. We all want to get our money as soon as possible! This feature is especially helpful to many who are living paycheck to paycheck and need to get their hard-earned money to their hands the sooner. Of all the features that the Control Cards has, the Cash Back Reward1 program is my favorite. I like to earn money back on my purchases. Plus, getting a percentage of the amount I spend during the holiday season is great. Who doesn’t like to get rewarded for everyday purchases? I don’t know about you but I sure do!
